Transforming the Marketplace
Our ecommerce platform diy.com was already one of the UK’s biggest retail sites, with over 24 million visitors per month from our loyal customer base.
Then in March 2022 we launched the marketplace on the site and our B&Q app. Marketplace is B&Qs fastest growing channel and helping give millions more choice to create the homes and lifestyles they chose and build up the businesses they are so proud of.
We’ve come very far, very fast, launching the marketplace in partnership with Mirakl, through their leading SAAS platform and expanding at pace.
But our ambitions are large, and there is much still to be done on our tech stack and beyond, as we expand our vendor list, our brand offering, our categories, our team and our horizons. We’re looking to transform the way marketplaces operate – leading from the front in an exploding market.
We are a marketplace with a difference – being part of a trusted brand with a 50-year history and a wide network of over 300 stores. That means customers trust us to vet our vendors carefully.
We aim to become the one stop shop for everything home improvement related, from furniture and showers to wallpaper – as well as moving into new categories our stores don’t cover – like electrical goods.
